IN THE HALF CENT PROGRAM, WE CREATED THESE ANNUAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS. AND CURRENTLY WE HAVE FOUR LOCATIONS UNDERNEATH DESIGN. THOSE ARE EAST LUCAS, EAST FERGUSON AND EAST ERWIN IN THE DOWNTOWN AREA, ASSOCIATED WITH CONVERTING THESE FROM ONE WAY TRAFFIC TO TWO WAY TRAFFIC AND IMPROVING PEDESTRIAN CROSSING AND THOSE CROSSING SERVICES, AND THEN ALSO EAST LAKE STREET NEAR THE MEDICAL DISTRICT AS FAR AS A LOT OF EMERGENCY VEHICLES IN THIS AREA, AND IMPROVING THAT CROSSING QUALITY. AND SO THIS REIMBURSEMENT AGREEMENT IS PART OF THE DESIGN WE CURRENTLY HAVE. HDR IS WORKING ON DESIGN FOR THESE. ON A PGA'S NATIONAL JOB BOARD, AN EXCELLENT TOOL FOR REACHING QUALIFIED HORTICULTURAL PROFESSIONALS ACROSS THE COUNTRY. IN ADDITION TO OPEN THE DOOR FOR US TO PURSUE ACCREDITATION FOR OUR ROSE COLLECTION THROUGH THE PLANTS COLLECTION NETWORK, WHICH GIVES US THE GARDEN FORMAL RECOGNITION AMONG PUBLIC GARDENS NATIONWIDE, ESPECIALLY COMING OFF OF AN INCREDIBLY SUCCESSFUL ROSE FESTIVAL. THIS WAS JUST AS FAR AS WONDERFUL NEWS FOR US TO RECEIVE AS WELL, AND SO WE APPRECIATE EVERYONE INVOLVED WITH OUR PARKS DEPARTMENT AND OUR ROSE GARDEN WITH HELPING TO GET THAT. ON LAST WEDNESDAY, THE CITY COUNCIL WAS INCREDIBLE IN HELPING HOST THEM, VISITING WITH THEM AS BEST YOU COULD. AND SO IT WAS THEY GOT TO SEE ALL PARTS OF TYLER. THEY WERE VERY IMPRESSED. THEY WERE HEADED HOME YESTERDAY, BUT NOT BEFORE BEING ABLE TO SEE, YOU KNOW, ALL THE BEST PARTS OF OUR COMMUNITY AND THEY SEEM EXTREMELY GRATEFUL. AND ALSO SPEAKING OF SENIOR CITIZEN CENTERS, WE'RE ABLE TO DANCE ALONG WITH THE SENIORS AT A JUST AN EVENT WE HELD FOR FRIDAY. SO GREAT TIME AND WE APPRECIATE EVERYTHING THE COUNCIL DID, OUR STAFF DID, AND OUR COMMUNITY DID TO HOST OUR OUR FRIENDS FROM POLAND. AND THEN AS FAR AS JUST SOME KIND OF NEWS THAT WE'LL BE RELEASING LATER TODAY, WE'RE PLEASED TO REPORT THAT THE LEAK ON THE RAW WATER LINE FROM LAKE TYLER TO GOLDEN ROSE WATER TREATMENT PLANT WAS SUCCESSFULLY REPAIRED AS OF SUNDAY AFTERNOON. SO FOLLOWING TESTING DURING PEAK DEMAND ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY, GOLDEN ROSE WATER TREATMENT PLANT IS NOW OPERATING AT FULL CAPACITY AT THE LAKE TYLER PALACE AT LAKE PALESTINE WATER TREATMENT PLANT. 68. FILTERS ARE NOW BACK IN SERVICE, INCREASING OUR OVERALL SYSTEM CAPACITY. AND SO WITH THE RAW WATER LINE FULLY RESTORED AND GOLDEN ROSE WATER TREATMENT PLANT RUNNING AT FULL OUTPUT, ALONG WITH THE IMPROVED CAPACITY OF LAKE PALESTINE WATER TREATMENT PLANT, WE'RE NOW ABLE TO MEET SYSTEM WIDE DEMAND AND AS A RESULT, STAGE TWO WATER RESTRICTIONS ARE BEING LIFTED TODAY. WE DO APPRECIATE THE COMMUNITY'S COOPERATION THROUGHOUT THIS PERIOD THAT CAN HELP US THROUGH THIS. AS FAR AS WORKING ON THE ISSUES WE'RE HAVING, PALESTINE WATER TREATMENT THAT CAME FORWARD, AS WELL AS REPAIRS THAT HAD ALREADY BEEN SCHEDULED FOR THE GOLDEN ROSE WATER TREATMENT PLANT, OR PARTICULARLY THE LAKE TYLER LINE AND WATER INTAKE LINE THAT RUNS FROM LAKE TYLER TO GOLDEN ROAD. OUR BIG DEMAND DAYS ARE MONDAYS AND FRIDAYS. EVERYBODY LOVES TO WATER THEIR YARDS THAT MORNING, AND SO WE'RE REALLY DID GET OUT AND PEOPLE DID DECREASE THEIR IRRIGATION ON THOSE MORNINGS TO BE ABLE TO FOR US TO BE ABLE TO MEET OUR CAPACITY NEEDS THROUGH THE SYSTEM WHILE THOSE REPAIRS ARE BEING MADE. AND AND SO WE HAD THEM, WE HAD THEM SET UP TO GO TO A CATHOLIC CHURCH ON SUNDAYS, BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT THEY DO AT HOME. AND THEY SAID, WE CAN DO THAT AT HOME. AND SO WE WOULD LIKE TO GO TO A BAPTIST CHURCH. SO WE TOOK THEM TO GREEN ACRES BAPTIST CHURCH IN 2500 PEOPLE ON THERE AND THE LOUD MUSIC AND AND THEY WERE MESMERIZED AND THEY LOVED IT. THEN WE HAD THE GOING AWAY PARTY MONDAY NIGHT AT VILLA MONTES AND HAD THEY SHOW UP COWBOY HATS, COWBOY SHIRTS, JEANS, WRANGLERS BOOTS. THEY WENT SHOPPING AT BOOT BARN AND CAVENDER'S.
